Album: Arezu

The concept of "AREZU" began shortly after the release of the CD “KOOCHEH”. "AREZU" is a slight departure from “KOOCHEH” in that it features some different instrumentation such as sax & electric guitar on many tracks. Along with its jazzy feel, “AREZU” offers an innovative approach to contemporary Iranian music. It represents an evolving musical journey of two artists from diverse cultural backgrounds and their discovery of an alluring musical style that speaks a universal language inviting many emotions and capturing many hearts. “AREZU” is a CD where memorable melodies, lively rhythms and enduring lyrics are rooted in rich Iranian poetry. Eric's inspiring string arrangements played by his brothers, renowned musicians Edmund on the violin and Rudolph on the cello enhance the original musical idea discovered by Mahvash and Eric.

Eric Stein has been involved in the music and media industry for many years. His experience ranges from international tours with major recording artists to composing and producing music for major Los Angeles advertising agencies. He recently co-produced Mahvash Azhir's latest CD "AREZU". Some of his current projects include steinbrothersmusic.com, a website dedicated to providing music and video for online applications as well as more traditional mediums such as television and radio.
